Travel in style in our luxurious vintage carriages and indulge in a delectable spread of sandwiches, cakes, tea, and coffee, all beautifully presented on traditional vintage chinaware and served directly to your table.

Relax and enjoy a first-class experience, complete with a Freedom of the Line ticket for unlimited travel all day. Whether you book a table for two or four, there are two service times available, allowing you to savour your journey in comfort.

Two dining timings are available as follows:

Standard (2pm)  – Take the 2pm train from Kidderminster and dine on route to Bridgnorth. Alight at Bridgnorth and return to Kidderminster on the 4.10pm train in a different carriage.

Standard (4.10pm) – Enjoy a leisurely ride out from Kidderminster on the 2pm train and dine on the last service of the day, the 4.10pm train from Bridgnorth. The 4.10pm service is often the last train of the day from Bridgnorth, so we suggest starting and ending your journey in Kidderminster.

• Dogs are not allowed on the Afternoon Tea train, except for assistance dogs.

All aboard the Oriental Express for an Chinese-inspired dining experience on the Severn Valley Railway.

Starting from Kidderminster Station, enjoy a delightful evening with delicious Chinese food with friends or family. Enjoy the rich flavours of dishes handcrafted by Paisley Flour whilst travelling by heritage train – dining in comfort and style.

This experience offers a relaxing and leisurely journey through stunning countryside. Sit back, relax, and savour the flavours as you travel along the historic railway line.

The ambiance is tranquil, with the sound of the train gently chugging along the tracks, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening.

The train will depart from Kidderminster at 7.30pm and arrive at Bridgnorth around 8.50pm. There will be a 40 minute stop at Bridgnorth, allowing passengers to enjoy a glass of our exceptional ales at The Railwayman’s Arms, conveniently located just off the platform. The train will depart from Bridgnorth at 9:30pm and return to Kidderminster, concluding the evening at around 10:30pm.

The train will depart from Kidderminster at 10.15am and arrives at Bridgnorth around 11.25am. Here, you can leave the train for a short break and travel back to Kidderminster at 12.20pm, or explore the local town of Bridgnorth and return on a later train.

Join us this summer for the classic favourite fish and chips! Teaming up with Kidderminster’s famous Captain Cod’s Fish Bar, we invite you to savour a delicious meal of freshly prepared fish and chips while soaking up picturesque views from the comfort of a heritage train carriage.

Starting your experience at Kidderminster, a member of our team will greet you on the concourse, where you can collect your Fish and Chips before boarding the train into reserved carriages. It’s then time to relax and get ready to enjoy your food while travelling through the Severn Valley countryside.

The train will be hauled by a heritage diesel locomotive. In need of liquid refreshment? Don’t forget to visit our Travelling Tavern on board, where you can purchase a selection of drinks to enhance your experience.

The Fish and Chips train will depart Kidderminster at 4.15pm, travel to Bridgnorth and return to Kidderminster at approx. 6.57pm.
