Cheese & Wine Experience - On-Train Dining

Taste an assortment of our finest wines, cheeses and other delectable snacks while travelling along the Severn Valley Railway.

Departing from Kidderminster, you’ll enjoy a delicious cheese board served with a variety of crackers, seasonal chutney, fruits and pickles, and expertly paired with two glasses of red or white wine. Whilst dining in our spectacular First Class carriage, watch the beautiful countryside pass you by and delight in the tranquil ambiance.

This experience couples a sophisticated gourmet excellence with a leisurely journey through the Severn Valley curated with our expert catering partners Paisley Flour. The combination of the perfect ambiance, with the calming click clack of the tracks, makes this a truly marvellous occasion, and the perfect setting for an evening out.

Saturday 30 August – the Cheese and Wine Experience will take place at 7.30pm, departing from Kidderminster.

Sunday 12 October – The Cheese and Wine Experience will take place during the day, with two dining timings available.

Option 1 – Take the 2pm train from Kidderminster and dine on route to Bridgnorth. Alight at Bridgnorth and return to Kidderminster on the 4.10pm train in a different carriage.

Option 2 – Enjoy a leisurely ride out from Kidderminster on the 2pm train and dine on the last service of the day, the 4.10pm train from Bridgnorth. The 4.10pm service is often the last train of the day from Bridgnorth, so we suggest starting and ending your journey in Kidderminster.

Important information

  • This experience is suitable for +18 only.
  • The Cheese and Wine Experience train departs from Kidderminster. Kidderminster station offers an ANPR-controlled car park for £4 per day.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the dining train, except for assistance dogs.
  • The historic design of our dining car carriages, with narrow doors, gangways, steep steps and fixed tables, means it is not possible to accommodate wheelchairs at a table. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us prior to booking on 01562 757 900 (Option 2 – Mon to Fri 9.30am to 4.30pm).
  • While we can accommodate most allergen requests, please note that we cannot provide a NUT FREE service due to our preparation areas.
  • The price of ticket includes travel on the railway on day of your booking.  Why not take the train to Highley and explore The Engine House during the day, before returning to Kidderminster for the Cheese and Wine Experience dining train departure time.
  • If you book four tickets (or two tickets with a table for two supplement) you will be seated on your own table. If you book two tickets without a table supplement, you will be allocated two seats on a table for four sharing with up to two other passengers.
