Departing from Kidderminster, enjoy the incredible experience of being served a delicious two-course lunch whilst dining in our show stopping First Class carriage, taking in the beautiful scenic views from the train.

This experience offers a relaxing and leisurely journey through the Severn valley with our catering partners Paisley Flour. The ambiance is tranquil, with the sound of the train gently chugging along the tracks, creating the perfect setting for a memorable day out.

This train departs from Kidderminster.

Join us for a delightful Vintage Afternoon Tea experience aboard the Severn Valley Railway. Travel in style in our luxurious vintage carriages and indulge in a delectable spread of sandwiches, cakes, tea, and coffee, all beautifully presented on traditional vintage chinaware and served directly to your table.

There are two train options starting from Kidderminster station:

Option 1 – Take the 2.00pm train from Kidderminster and dine on route to Bridgnorth. Alight at Bridgnorth and return to Kidderminster on the 4.10pm train in a different carriage.

Option 2 – Enjoy a leisurely ride out from Kidderminster on the 2pm train and dine on the last service of the day, the 4.10pm train from Bridgnorth.

If you book four tickets (or two tickets with a table for two supplement) you will be seated on your own table. If you book two tickets without a table supplement, you will be allocated two seats on a table for four sharing with up to two other passengers.

Itinerary for planning

If you are planning to spend the day with us here are some suggestions for your visit:

If starting in Kidderminster:

• Board the 2.00pm train from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth and enjoy Afternoon Tea during the journey.
• Arrive in Bridgnorth at 3:10pm.
• Use the break to enjoy a drink at the Railwayman’s Arms Pub.
• Board the 4:10pm train from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster.
• Arrive in Kidderminster at 5:20pm and conclude the trip.

If starting in Bridgnorth:

• Depart Bridgnorth at 10:45am and arrive in Highley at 11:22am.
• Enjoy approximately 1.5 hours exploring The Engine House.
• Catch the 12:52pm train from Highley to Kidderminster, arriving at 13:30pm.
• Board the 2.00pm train from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth and savour Afternoon Tea during the journey.
• Arrive in Bridgnorth at 3:10pm and conclude the trip.

Spring Sunday Lunch 2025

Saturday 22 March

Indulge in a delightful evening of curry with friends while travelling on the Severn Valley Railway. This experience promises a leisurely journey allowing you to unwind and savour the flavours as you glide along the historic railway line. With the serene ambiance of the gentle chugging train, immerse yourself in the tranquil setting for an evening that will be etched into your memory.

The train will depart from Kidderminster at 7.30pm and arrive at Bridgnorth around 8.50pm. There will be a 40 minute stop at Bridgnorth, allowing passengers to enjoy a glass of our exceptional ales at The Railwayman’s Arms, conveniently located just off the platform. The train will depart from Bridgnorth at 9:30pm and return to Kidderminster, concluding the evening at around 10:30pm.

Bar facilities will be available on this train, ensuring guests can enjoy their preferred beverages throughout the evening. Spice Train menu.

• The Mother’s Day lunch train departs from Kidderminster. Kidderminster station offers an ANPR-controlled car park for £4 per day.
• Dogs are not allowed on the Sunday Lunch train, except for assistance dogs.

There are two train options starting from Kidderminster station:
