This experience offers a relaxing and leisurely journey through the Severn valley with our catering partners Paisley Flour. The ambiance is tranquil, with the sound of the train gently chugging along the tracks, creating the perfect setting for a memorable day out.

Join us for a delightful Vintage Afternoon Tea experience aboard the Severn Valley Railway. Travel in style in our luxurious vintage carriages and indulge in a delectable spread of sandwiches, cakes, tea, and coffee, all beautifully presented on traditional vintage chinaware and served directly to your table.

Relax and enjoy a first-class experience, complete with a Freedom of the Line ticket for unlimited travel all day. Whether you book a table for two or four, there are two service times available, allowing you to savour your journey in comfort.

17/2/25 Update: following an embankment collapse at the Bridgnorth end of the line,  the Vintage Afternoon Tea train will depart from Kidderminster to Hampton Loade and return to Kidderminster.

On the 8 and 15 March – bookings for Option 1 (Kidderminster) will now dine on the 12.40pm train and Option 2 (Bridgnorth) will dine at 3.05pm and this will be starting from Kidderminster.

On 29 March – bookings for Option 1 (Kidderminster) will now dine on the 12.40pm train and Option 2 (Bridgnorth) will dine at 3.10pm and this will be starting from Kidderminster.

Sundays are all about Sunday lunches and there’s no better place to enjoy a premium dining experience than on the Severn Valley Railway

Update (following an embankment collapse at the Bridgnorth end of the line) – The March Lunch train will depart from Kidderminster at 3.10pm to Hampton Loade returning to Kidderminster at approx 5.12pm.

All other times will be updated shortly.

• The Sunday Day lunch train departs from Kidderminster. Kidderminster station offers an ANPR-controlled car park for £4 per day.
• Dogs are not allowed on the Sunday Lunch train, except for assistance dogs.
• The historic design of our dining car carriages, with narrow doors, gangways, steep steps and fixed tables, means it is not possible to accommodate wheelchairs at a table. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us prior to booking on 01562 757 900 (Option 2 – Mon to Fri 9.30am to 4.30pm).
• The price of ticket includes travel on the railway on day of your booking.  Why not take the train to Highley and explore The Engine House during the morning, before returning to Kidderminster for the Sunday Lunch dining train departure time.

Saturday 22 March

All aboard for the Spice Train.

Indulge in a delightful evening of curry with friends while travelling on the Severn Valley Railway. This experience promises a leisurely journey allowing you to unwind and savour the flavours as you glide along the historic railway line. With the serene ambiance of the gentle chugging train, immerse yourself in the tranquil setting for an evening that will be etched into your memory.

Update: Following an embankment collapse at the Bridgnorth end of the line,  the Spice train will depart from Kidderminster to Highley and return to Kidderminster.

The train will depart from Kidderminster at 7pm and returns at approx. 10.12pm.

Bar facilities will be available on this train, ensuring guests can enjoy their preferred beverages throughout the evening.

All aboard the Oriental Express for an Chinese-inspired dining experience on the Severn Valley Railway.

Starting from Kidderminster Station, enjoy a delightful evening with delicious Chinese food with friends or family. Enjoy the rich flavours of dishes handcrafted by Paisley Flour whilst travelling by heritage train – dining in comfort and style.

This experience offers a relaxing and leisurely journey through stunning countryside. Sit back, relax, and savour the flavours as you travel along the historic railway line.

The ambiance is tranquil, with the sound of the train gently chugging along the tracks, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening.

The train will depart from Kidderminster at 7.30pm and arrive at Bridgnorth around 8.50pm. There will be a 40 minute stop at Bridgnorth, allowing passengers to enjoy a glass of our exceptional ales at The Railwayman’s Arms, conveniently located just off the platform. The train will depart from Bridgnorth at 9:30pm and return to Kidderminster, concluding the evening at around 10:30pm.

Orient Express 2025

Departing from Kidderminster, sit back, relax and enjoy being served a Full English breakfast whilst dining in our First Class carriage, taking in beautiful scenic views from the train.

This experience offers a relaxing and leisurely journey through the Severn Valley with our catering partners Paisley Flour. The ambiance is tranquil, with the sound of the train gently chugging along the tracks, creating the perfect setting for a treat with friends or family.

The train will depart from Kidderminster at 10.15am and arrives at Bridgnorth around 11.25am. Here, you can leave the train for a short break and travel back to Kidderminster at 12.20pm, or explore the local town of Bridgnorth and return on a later train.
