Gourmet Sunday Lunch (Spring/Summer)
Sundays are all about Sunday lunches and there’s no better place to enjoy a premium dining experience than on the Severn Valley Railway
Departing from Kidderminster, enjoy the incredible experience of being served a delicious three-course Sunday Roast on board and take in the beautiful scenic views from the train, whilst dining in our show stopping First Class carriages.
With our catering partners Paisley Flour, we’re offering you the opportunity to experience a beautiful meal served to your table as you dine in style. Easily the most luxurious Sunday lunch you’ll have ever experienced!
A selection of wines will be available to purchase on the day.
Starting at Kidderminster Station and travelling in reserved seats, this first-class experience allows you to savour your journey into the past in comfort and style.
Sunday Lunch trains in March and early April will depart from Kidderminster at 11.45am, travel to Bridgnorth and return to Kidderminster at around 3.20pm. One of our heritage diesel locomotives will be hauling your train for the first half of the journey and your train will be hauled by a majestic steam locomotive, for the return journey to Kidderminster.
Sunday Lunch Trains from late April onwards will depart from Kidderminster at 2.15pm, travel to Bridgnorth and return to Kidderminster at around 5.30pm. One of our heritage steam locomotives will be hauling your train for the whole journey.
Important information
- The Sunday Day lunch train departs from Kidderminster. Kidderminster station offers an ANPR-controlled car park. On Station Approach bear to the right hand side of the station and the road will take you to the car park, £4.00 for the day.
- Dogs are not allowed on the Sunday Lunch train, except for assistance dogs.
- The historic design of our dining car carriages, with narrow doors, gangways, steep steps and fixed tables, means it is not possible to accommodate wheelchairs at a table. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us prior to booking on 01562 757 900 (Option 2 – Mon to Fri 9.30am to 4.30pm).
- While we can accommodate most allergen requests, please note that we cannot provide a NUT FREE service due to our preparation areas.
- The price of ticket includes travel on the railway on day of your booking. Why not take the train to Highley and explore The Engine House during the morning, before returning to Kidderminster for the Sunday Lunch dining train departure time.
- If you book four tickets (or two tickets with a table for two supplement) you will be seated on your own table. If you book two tickets without a table supplement, you will be allocated two seats on a table for four sharing with up to two other passengers.
