Relaxed Santa Train
New for 2024, the Severn Valley Railway is delighted to invite you on our Relaxed Santa Train and we hope you all have a wonderful journey with us.
The Relaxed Santa Train provides the exact same experience as a typical family would enjoy, with an atmosphere and attitude that makes everyone feel safe and comfortable.
Our relaxed experience is designed to welcome anyone who might find visiting a railway and seeing a pantomime a bit overwhelming. Pantomime is brilliant but the loud noises, flashing lights and busy atmosphere isn’t right for everyone. A relaxed show brings down the volume, keeps lighting on at a low level throughout and we’ve reduce the capacity so there’s more spaces around each group’s booking. There are no cuts made to the show, we just make some small adjustments to the technical aspects so it’s a more gentle experience. On the train, you’ll also get your very own private space. We understand everyone’s needs are different, and whilst we are unable to cater to each individual need, we hope that a relaxed performance makes the experience a bit more comfortable for those who may feel overwhelmed in such situations.
